Programme Overview
The Diploma in Software Engineering programme equips students with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to design, develop, and maintain reliable software systems through training in programming, software design, databases, operating systems, computer networks, software testing, quality assurance, cybersecurity, and project management, while also emphasizing professional practice and ethics in computing. Students strengthen their analytical skills with supporting courses such as calculus, discrete mathematics, and probability and statistics, and gain practical exposure through hands-on projects and a 20-week industrial training, ensuring they are well-prepared for careers in software development, quality assurance, and IT support, or for progression to degree-level studies.
