The Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS) held the Industry Expert Advisory (IEA) meetings with its External and Industry Advisers on 18 September 2026 at the TAR UMT Main Campus. The meetings were for programmes offered at the Faculty. As the name suggests, an IEA provides input on the current and future needs of the industry. The meetings were chaired by the respective Assoociate Deans, with external academia and industry experts as well as Programme Leaders and lecturers of the respective programmes as panel members.
The meetings were productive as the panel members and advisers exchanged positive and constructive feedback on the curriculum, academic programme, learning outcomes, syllabus, facilities, pedagogy, academic and industry trends.
