Industry Career Talk: Hitachi eBworx

An Industry Career Talk by Hitachi eBworx was successfully held on 3 March 2026 at 12:00 PM until 1.00 PM at DKABA, TAR UMT Kuala Lumpur. The session was organised by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS), TAR UMT KL. The invited speaker for the event was Ms. Pankhuri Agrawal, Head of the Central Project Management Office & Quality Assurance at Hitachi eBworx.

The talk was attended by approximately 281 students from the RSW programme, accompanied by their lecturer, Ms. Bavani Raja Pandian. The session aimed to provide students with valuable exposure to real-world industry practices and expectations, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional application.

During the session, Ms. Pankhuri Agrawal shared insightful knowledge on key areas such as project management and quality assurance. She elaborated on how project planning, coordination, monitoring, and quality control are implemented in a professional working environment. In addition, she emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in organizational operations to ensure efficiency and success.

The speaker also highlighted essential soft skills required in the industry, including effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail. These competencies were stressed as critical factors for students to develop in order to succeed in their future careers.

Notably, student participation during the session was overwhelming. Many students actively engaged by asking questions and contributing to discussions, demonstrating strong interest and enthusiasm toward the topics presented.
