The Effective Communication Workshop for Undergraduates was successfully conducted on 3rd and 4th July 2026 to enhance students' communication competencies for academic, professional, and workplace environments. The two-day programme focused on developing practical communication skills that support graduate employability, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong learning.
The workshop featured interactive learning through lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, role-playing, simulations, presentations, and practical communication exercises. Participants learned key topics such as verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, confidence building, workplace communication, public speaking, teamwork, conflict resolution, and constructive feedback. Workplace simulations enabled students to apply these skills in realistic professional settings.
Students actively participated in ice-breaking sessions, networking activities, communication challenges, presentation practices, and reflective discussions. These experiential activities strengthened their interpersonal communication, critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and confidence.
The workshop successfully achieved its objectives, with participants demonstrating improved communication, public speaking, and workplace readiness. Feedback indicated high satisfaction with the trainers' professionalism, engaging delivery, and practical learning approach.
Overall, the workshop successfully equipped students with valuable communication competencies for their studies, internships, and future careers, reinforcing FOCS's commitment to holistic student development and graduate employability.
