CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) Examination + 3-day Bootcamp

A total of 21 students registered for the CompTIA Security+ Certification program, organised by the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology (FOCS) for students from the KL Main Campus. The program aimed to equip students with globally recognized cybersecurity knowledge and practical skills to strengthen their career readiness in the field of information security.

The 3-day Bootcamp was conducted by Mr. Mohd Nizam Mohd Salleh from I-World Tech & Management Training, who guided the students through key Security+ domains such as network security, threat management, incident response, risk management, and security architecture. The intensive training sessions helped participants consolidate their theoretical understanding while gaining practical insights into real-world cybersecurity practices.

The certification examinations were held at TAR UMT on 29 June 2025, carried out in three separate sessions to accommodate all candidates.

We are proud to share that 20 students successfully passed the examination, earning the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) certification, a credential highly valued in the IT industry as a benchmark for foundational cybersecurity expertise. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for the students in their professional development journey and reflects their hard work and commitment.
