TAR UMT Students Triumph at Majlis Anugerah Tangan Emas Perdana Menteri 2024
Putrajaya, Malaysia – 13 November 2024 – TAR UMT staff and students celebrated a remarkable achievement at the Majlis Anugerah Tangan Emas Perdana Menteri (MATEPM) 2024 held at Dewan Seri Siantan, Putrajaya. The event witnessed a number of TAR UMT students receiving prestigious awards in recognition of their outstanding skills and innovative projects.
MATEPM is a national-level competition and award ceremony that aims to recognize and nurture talent among Malaysian youths in vocational and technical fields in World Skills related competitions. This year, TAR UMT students showcased their exceptional abilities and brought home a collection of Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, as well as Certificates of Excellence.
TAR UMT’s Winning Students at World Skills Malaysia Belia (WSMB) 2024:
● Mobile Application Development category:
○ Bronze: Tan Yann Shew
○ Certificate of Excellence: Tan Yoong Soon, Lim Qi Hong, Chong Ming Li
● Web Technology category:
○ Bronze: Leong Ka Yin
● Internet of Things (Demo) category:
○ Gold: Kong Weng Cheng and Yong Jia Ying
○ Silver: Ang Wen Yee and Yong Qiao Rou
○ Bronze: Tan Chin Ai and Gan Hui Moon
○ Certificate of Excellence: William Chia Jiun Woo and Phoon Wen Xun, Yoong Hong Sheng and Ryan Moey Kai Xiang

In the Internet of Things (Demo) category, Kong Weng Cheng and Yong Jia Ying won a Gold medal, followed by Ang Wen Yee and Yong Qiao Rou won a Silver Medal, and Tan Chin Ai and Gan Hui Moon won a Bronze Medal.
